Somoto Canyon (Basic Tour)
Considered the shortest and relatively easy route, suitable for most visitors. We will arrive to the entrance of the reserve riding on horseback or preferably on foot. We will start the hike for 2.5 km approximately, until we reach the Canyon, we will advance through the calm waters of the Coco River, swimming and walking for approximately 2 km to take some rowboats for 700 m.
At this point you have 3 options:
1- Walk on the rocks for 75 m and have a minimum view of the canyon.
2- Walk or swim in the waters of the Coco River.
3- Float on tires that are pushed by tour guides of the community, going for about 400 m into the canyon.
